Statistical Perspectives of Two-deminsional Gel Analysis
The talk will describe the technology involved in two-dimensional gel electrophoresis; the steps required to acquire the raw data; features of the raw data; normalization;and preprocessing techniques. There will be an overview of the statistical and computational techniques used to identify differentially expressed proteins. Biological relevance of suggested procedures will be illustrated via examples.
